A SUMMER PLAYLIST MUST-HAVE: MARATONE’S REMIX OF CIARAN MCAULEY’S “REACH FOR YOU”

Discovering music at 10, he became a fan of electronic dance music. In 2014, he released his first professional tracks, remixing Susana’s “Silent For So Long” and Jo Cartwright’s “Embrace You” on Raz Nitzan Music which ended up on Armin van Buuren’s A State Of Trance radio show. His release “Vendetta” featuring Ikerya Project gained massive exposure from a Sensualise mashup with Armin van Buuren’s “This Is What It Feels Like,” played at major festivals in 2017, boosting Maratone‘s career. But the real game-changer for Maratone was when he won Dennis Sheperd’s remix competition in 2016, showcasing his quick development soon after. His diverse productions in the trance music realm have received recognition and support from industry giants like Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, and Andrew Rayel.

 

Producer who enjoys collaborating with other artists, especially vocalists that often finds joy in incorporating dreamy melodies into his slower productions. Among many names he shared success with were Siskin, Halliene, Roxane Emery. Maratone is now back on Black Hole Recordings with another massive remix, progressive trance-oriented. 

This time he asked Ciaran McAuley to let him add his personal touch to the track “Reach For You”. With over a dozen number-one hit singles, multiple “Tune of the Week” awards, and a growing list of collaborators, Ciaran is a studio magician in high demand by the global trance community, including Armada Music, Black Hole Recordings, Future Sound of Egypt, and Nocturnal Knights. It’s no wonder Maratone wanted to experiment with Ciaran’s track.

“Two years ago, I ended up backstage at a major trance festival and started chatting with Ciaran McAuley. After returning home, I emailed him about remixing one of his album tracks, and he agreed. This led to my remix of “Reach For You” featuring lovely Linney. Now, nearly two years later, my remix is finally being released” – Maratone shared.
